This product is entirely handmade from Tagua; no chemical products were used to achieve its fine finish.Tagua is a tree found only in Ecuador. It is similar to a palm tree except that its leaves only grow upwards. It produces a large fruit, approximately 30 centimeters across, which contains small round seeds. These seeds are black on the outside and white on the inside. The black part is removed and the inside of the seed is crafted by hand by Ecuadorian artisans.This product is 100% natural and is environmentally friendly. It is also known as vegetable Ivory.
